ALERT: The Navy is investigating a verbal security threat at Naval Medical Center San Diego. Navy security and local law enforcement are actively searching for a person of interest related to the alleged threat.
Balboa Naval Medical has been on lockdown for the past hour following a report of a possible armed suspect in the area.
San Diego Police are assisting with the search.
As at the time of this report, there has been neither confirmation nor identification of any victims.
No suspects have been identified, and there has been no information immediately released regarding any arrests.
Police ask public to please stay out of the area.
