27-year-old Quentin Gordon killed after shooting in southeast Wichita

WICHITA, KS – On June 4, 2024, at approximately 9:30 PM, Sedgwick County Emergency Communications received a 911 call reporting a shooting in the 4800 block of East Funston.

Wichita Police, Wichita Fire, and Sedgwick County EMS responded to the scene and found 27-year-old Quentin Gordon suffering from a gunshot wound. Sadly, Mr. Gordon was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wichita Police Department Homicide Investigators, in collaboration with patrol officers, immediately began their investigation.

Preliminary findings suggest that Mr. Gordon was involved in an argument with another individual when the shooting occurred, indicating that this was not a random act of violence.

The investigation is ongoing as homicide investigators work diligently to follow up on leads and locate a suspect.
