A Particularly Dangerous Situation (PDS) Tornado Watch has been issued for most of Oklahoma, and parts of Texas and Kansas.

Several strong tornadoes are expected, along with widespread hail up to DVD size and scattered gusts up to 80 mph.

Primary threats include:

  • Several tornadoes, with a few being intense
  • Widespread large hail, with scattered instances of very large hail up to 5 inches in diameter
  • Scattered damaging winds, with isolated significant gusts up to 80 mph

Summary: Intense supercell thunderstorm development is expected to continue this evening, moving generally east across the watch area. There is a risk for strong, long-track tornadoes, as well as giant hail possibly up to 5 inches in diameter. Additionally, damaging thunderstorm wind gusts exceeding 75 mph can be expected.
