Woman and man found dead in Clio home, suspect killed in officer-involved shooting

On 03-26-24 (Tuesday), at approximately 7:35 PM, Clio Police and Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 600 blk. of N. Mill St. Ref: Domestic Dispute / Shots Fired.

Upon arrival, police discovered a female victim on the steps of an apartment building, but were also met with a male subject wielding a shotgun, who subsequently walked into the roadway and fired at responding officers.

Shots were exchanged, and the suspect was struck in that exchange. He was treated on scene, then transported to an area hospital.

The female victim, and a male victim located in the apartment during a sweep, were both pronounced deceased at the scene. The suspect was later pronounced deceased at an area hospital.

Thankfully, no officers or other uninvolved parties were injured.

THERE IS NO ACTIVE THREAT TO THE COMMUNITY AT THIS TIME.

Identities of the involved individuals are pending confirmation, and the investigation is being conducted jointly by CPD, GCSO, and the Michigan State Police.

This is an ongoing investigation, but details will be released when appropriate.
