US Marshals searching for Angel Aguero in connection to shooting death of 35-year-old Dashon Lee in Vineland

At approximately 12:30 AM on Saturday, March 9, 2024, members of the Vineland Police Department responded to a 911 call at the Asselta Acres Apartments on Axtell Avenue for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Dashon Lee, age 35, of Vineland in a parking lot suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Lee was transported to Inspira Medical Center in Vineland where he was pronounced deceased.

A criminal complaint has been authorized charging Angel A. Aguero, age 31, of West Chestnut Avenue in Vineland, with first degree Murder in connection with the shooting death of Dashon Lee.

Aguero is charged with the following offenses:

  • First Degree Murder, a violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:11-3a(1)
  • Second Degree Possession of a Firearm for an Unlawful Purpose N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4a(1)
  • Second Degree Unlawful Possession of a Handgun N.J.S.A. 2C:39-5b(1)

Angel Aguero is still at large and authorities (including the U.S. Marshals Service are searching for his whereabouts).

Aguero should be considered armed and dangerous.
