1 killed, 2 wounded after shooting during an argument in a parking lot on Jacksonville Westside

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, one woman was killed and two others were injured Tuesday night in a shooting that occurred during an altercation in a parking lot on the Westside of the city.

JSO stated that multiple individuals were present in a parking lot near Labelle Street and Plymouth Street just before midnight when an argument ensued, leading to gunfire.

JSO reported that two women and one man were shot.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department transported one of the women to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries, while the other two victims self-transported to the hospital and were expected to recover.

Four individuals were detained and brought to the Police Memorial Building for questioning.

As of Wednesday morning, JSO stated that they were unaware of the circumstances surrounding the incident or the relationships among those involved, leading to the pending classification of the incident.

JSO emphasized their commitment to ongoing investigation and collaboration with the State Attorney’s Office and the Medical Examiner’s Office.
