False active shooter threat at Joint Base Lewis-McChord

UPDATE: JBLM Law Enforcement have confirmed that there was no active shooter incident today at JBLM.

Earlier this afternoon, JBLM Law Enforcement responded to several reports of a potential active shooting incident.

These reports have been investigated. Law enforcement has confirmed no shots were fired and no active shooting incident occurred.

Law enforcement is presently addressing an incident near Building 2026 on Lewis Main, located between Liggett Ave. and Pendleton.

It is advised to steer clear of the area until further updates are provided.

Additional information will be shared as it becomes accessible.

As at the time of this report, there has been neither confirmation nor identification of any victims.

No suspects have been identified, and there has been no information immediately released regarding any arrests.

Police ask public to please stay out of the area.
