33-year-old Dalance Stephens killed in Saginaw shooting

A shooting in Saginaw on Saturday afternoon resulted in the death of a 33-year-old man.

The Saginaw Police Department received reports of the shooting around 2:15 p.m. near the intersection of Julius and Webber streets.

Dalance Stephens of Saginaw was discovered by officers with multiple gunshot wounds.

Despite emergency crews’ efforts to save him, Stephens was pronounced dead at an area hospital later that Saturday.

The Saginaw Police Department, along with the Michigan State Police, is conducting an investigation into this fatal shooting, which marks the city’s fourth homicide of 2024.

As of Monday morning, no suspects have been apprehended. Details about potential suspects or the events preceding the incident have not been disclosed by investigators.
