Fergus Falls Public Schools sends kids home early after receiving threats

Due to the early school release, ALL AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES, including practices, have been canceled.

Around 12:00 p.m., KSS, Adams School, and Cleveland School each received a threatening phone call jeopardizing the safety of the schools.

The unidentified caller specifically threatened to shoot through the school’s windows. In response, the district promptly initiated a Code Red lockdown and contacted 911.

Fergus Falls Police Department dispatched officers to each school building.

All students and staff are secure, with law enforcement maintaining a presence in each facility.

As a precaution, the decision has been made to close school early.

Buses are anticipated to arrive at approximately 1:30 p.m.
