14-year-old Eugene Kelly killed after shooting on Nimitz street in Jackson

In Jackson, at approximately 8 p.m. on Tuesday, a 14-year-old boy named Eugene Kelly was fatally shot.

Discovered in the yard, he was suffering from a single gunshot wound and later died at the hospital.

The incident, as reported by Jackson Police, occurred on Nimitz Street.

Investigators are currently gathering information from witnesses, indicating that a red vehicle was observed leaving the scene after multiple shots were fired from inside it.
