Multiple people wounded after shooting in Laurel, suspects all at large

5:10pm FINAL UPDATE: W 7th Street between West Street and Center Street remains closed, and is expected to remain closed for several hours. Please note, this unfortunately includes residents in that area for now, but their access to houses in the area will be prioritized when it is deemed appropriate.

This incident is a confirmed shooting investigation, with three gunshot victims. All three victims are males in their teens. Their conditions and identities are being withheld pending contact with next-of-kin.

The suspects are currently at large.

The investigation is being turned over to the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit, as is standard practice for this type of investigation. The Laurel Police Department works hand-in-hand with the Delaware State Police, and is assisting in full capacity with their investigation.

The Delaware State Police PIO will be responsible for updates from this point forward.

4:10pm UPDATE: The 500 Block of W 7th Street remains shut down, expect heavy police presence in the the area to maintain the integrity of the scene. The public is being asked to avoid the area. This post will be updated regularly.
