Hassan Salame, owner of Lama’s Florist, shot and killed outside of Xushi Ko in Dearborn

Dearborn police have arrested multiple individuals believed to be involved in this tragic event.

Late Tuesday evening, Hassan Salame, proprietor of Lama’s Florist, was fatally shot outside of Xushi Ko in Dearborn.

Following a dinner with his fiancée, they were en route to their vehicle around 9:30 p.m. when an assailant, armed and demanding their possessions, including Salame’s Rolex, approached them.

Positioned near their black Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, the assailant opened fire, striking Salame in the chest.

Salame was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared deceased.

Dearborn police have apprehended several individuals in connection with the tragic shooting of Hassan Salame.

Dearborn Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud stated, “This tragic event has shaken our community to its core. Dearborn is more than a collection of neighborhoods; when tragedy strikes one of us, it impacts all of us. As we mourn the devastating loss of beloved community member Hassan Salame, I share my deepest condolences with his family and friends who are grappling with unimaginable pain. No resource will be spared in bringing the perpetrators to justice.”
