62-year-old Xiaosong Wang arrested in connection to shooting that killed two people and injured a third
The deceased victims have been identified by BGPD officers as Zhichun Huang, 36, of Bowling Green, and Bing Luan Lin, 40, also of Bowling Green.
The Bowling Green Police Division has reported an overnight shooting incident early Sunday, resulting in two fatalities and several others injured.
BGPD officers, in collaboration with the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, answered numerous 911 calls indicating gunshots originating from a residence in the 500 block of Monroe Ct.
Upon reaching the scene, officers discovered multiple victims, one of whom was pronounced deceased.
Authorities further revealed that another victim was airlifted for medical attention but succumbed to injuries later.
The third victim sustained a gunshot wound that, fortunately, is not life-threatening, as confirmed by the officers.
Bowling Green Police apprehended Xiaosong Wang, 62, who is now held at the Wood County Justice Center. Wang is charged with two counts of murder and one count of felonious assault.
