Tucson High School implemented a strict lockdown on Wednesday morning due to “multiple altercations,” as reported by the Tucson Police Department.

According to TPD information shared with Channel3 NOW, officers were dispatched to the high school at approximately 10:15 a.m. following reports of a significant brawl, which included mention of a potential weapon.

Upon the officers’ arrival on campus, the students engaged in the altercations—actually more than one—dispersed.

Authorities confirm they found the student who was reported to have a weapon, but no actual weapon was discovered.

As of around 11:30 a.m., TPD states that no arrests have been made, and they are collaborating with Tucson High to identify other individuals involved in the incident.

Channel3 NOW has contacted the Tucson Unified School District for further information and will provide updates to this article as more details emerge.

This is a developing story that will be updated when more information is available.
