11-year-old boy shot near Dunbar High School during a football game

On Friday night, an 11-year-old boy was shot in the vicinity of Dunbar High School, as reported by the Baltimore City Police Department.

Acting Commissioner Richard Worley and Mayor Brandon Scott conveyed that a perpetrator discharged a weapon into a gathering near the high school during a football game.

The 11-year-old boy sustained a gunshot wound and was subsequently transported to the hospital.

Fortunately, the police have confirmed that his injuries are not life-threatening, and he is anticipated to recover from them.

Following the altercation, a private security officer initiated pursuit of the suspect but was unsuccessful in apprehending him, as explained by Worley.
