Thomas Edison Charter School principal’s window struck by stray bullet after shooting nearby

Thomas Edison Charter School released the following statement:
We would like to provide an update regarding today’s police incident.
A shooting occurred two blocks away from the school, resulting in a stray bullet entering Principal EL’s window.
Fortunately, Principal EL was unharmed, and all individuals at the school are safe.
As a precaution, we initiated indoor recess until the police confirmed that they had resolved the situation.
We commend the Wilmington Police Department for their excellent communication and efforts in ensuring our safety throughout the day.
