41-year-old Javarski McGee killed after shooting in Freeport
No suspects have been identified, and there has been no information immediately released regarding any arrests.
On January 13, 2024, at 2:26 A.M., Officers of the Freeport Police Department responded to a residence in the 1100 Block of S. Oak Avenue for a reported shooting incident.
Upon arrival, Officers found an unresponsive 41-year-old male victim who had been shot.
The victim was transported to the FHN Hospital by Freeport Fire Ambulance where he was pronounced dead.
Javarski McGee, a resident of the City of Freeport, has been identified as the individual who died as a result of being struck by gunfire.
