29-year-old Tayontrae Baker dead after a shooting in Portsmouth

A shooting incident in Portsmouth has resulted in the death of a man identified as 29-year-old Tayontrae A. Baker.
The Portsmouth Police Department received a dispatch to the 800 block of Stratford Street on November 25, where an adult man was found with a gunshot wound, according to police.
The call was made around 9:40 p.m. The victim was subsequently taken to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Next of kin has been informed of his passing.
The incident is currently under investigation.
