The actor, renowned for his portrayal of Chandler Bing on Friends, was discovered deceased at a residence in the Los Angeles area on Saturday.

Perry was found in a jacuzzi at the residence, and no drugs were uncovered at the scene.

Warner Bros. released a statement regarding the beloved “Friends” star:

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend Matthew Perry. Matthew was an extraordinarily talented actor and an unforgettable member of the Warner Bros. Television Group family. The influence of his comedic brilliance was felt worldwide, and his memory will endure in the hearts of many. This is a day of great sorrow, and we extend our condolences to his family, loved ones, and all of his dedicated fans.”

A representative from the Los Angeles Police Department informed Channel3 that they received a call at Perry’s residence concerning the passing of a male in his 50s.

However, they did not confirm the identity of the deceased. No evidence of foul play was found, and their sources indicate that first responders were dispatched to the residence in response to a cardiac arrest.

Perry’s representatives did not promptly reply to Channel3’s request for a statement.
