Currently, Royal High School is under a “soft” lockdown following the discovery of a “vague” threat written on a desk. Simi Valley Police are conducting a thorough security check to ensure the safety of the campus.

The police watch commander has stressed that no credible threat has been identified thus far and the search is part of standard procedure.

As a precaution, students are remaining in their classrooms throughout the safety sweeps.

At this moment, there is no necessity for parents to come to Royal High School.

The Simi Valley Police Department will provide updates through Nixle once the campus checks have concluded.
