35-year-old Andre Marshall fatally shoots himself amidst dispute at home in Syracuse

The weapon was recovered, and police have not filed any charges as of now.

A Syracuse resident, Andrew Marshall, has tragically passed away after accidentally shooting himself.

Syracuse Police responded to a shooting incident at a residence on Court Street around 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, where they found Marshall, 35, with a gunshot wound to the groin.

He was swiftly transported to Upstate University Hospital but was pronounced dead later.

Investigations revealed that Marshall was involved in a dispute prior to police arrival and accidentally discharged his own firearm.

The weapon was recovered, and police have not filed any charges as of now.

The investigation remains ongoing.
