In the early hours of this morning, Baltimore City Firefighters rushed to the scene of a house fire in the 3400 block of E. Lombard Street in South East Baltimore.

Tragically, the 8-year-old victim has been pronounced dead at the hospital, while the 13-year-old and 22-year-old are still receiving medical care.

Upon arrival, fire crews encountered a two-story brick dwelling with intense flames and smoke billowing from both floors of the occupied residence.

Firefighters rescued three unconscious and non-responsive victims from the blaze and promptly transported them to nearby hospitals for urgent medical treatment.

Councilman Zeke Cohen has reported that the victims are aged 8, 13, and 22 years old.

Fire investigators are currently at the scene to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the fire.

District 1 Councilmember and Baltimore CCP candidate, Zeke Cohen, was present at the scene earlier this morning.

The American Red Cross has been alerted to offer aid to any individuals displaced by the incident.

Given the severity of the situation, traffic disruptions are expected to last for several hours.

Commuters are advised to explore alternative routes for their morning travels, as recommended by the fire department.
