All clear given after package reported near Gaylord Hall at University of Oklahoma

Law enforcement has issued an all-clear signal. Following the detection of a suspicious package, an immediate evacuation was ordered for Gaylord Hall at the University of Oklahoma.

A message was dispatched to OU students and staff, advising them of the situation:

“OU-NORMAN Emergency 1:17 p.m. Suspicious package reported near Asp Ave. east of Gaylord Hall on the Norman Campus. Please avoid the area.”

Accompanied by a sign reading, “ignore this like you do genocide. 28,000 and counting. Silence is complicit,” the package is currently under active investigation by authorities.

They advise everyone to steer clear of the area as the situation unfolds.
