Following a brief lockdown due to a report of a person with a weapon, students, faculty, and staff at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Bergen County campus in New Jersey are now cleared to resume all activities.

The school announced in a tweet that the police have given the all-clear at Metropolitan Campus, and normal activities can resume.

Campus police will continue to patrol the area.

Students were notified by the school about a “report of a person with a weapon” in the north parking lot of the Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck.

The school advised anyone on campus to stay indoors, emphasizing an ongoing police investigation.

Those not currently on campus were instructed not to come until further notice. Individuals on campus were urged to stay indoors, away from windows, and refrain from proceeding to the next class until receiving notification, as per the university’s tweet.
