4 people wounded, 3 in custody after shooting at Independence Center Mall in Missouri

On 11-10-23 around 2:20pm, IPD Officers responded to a shooting call at the Independence Center Mall in the 18800 Blk of E. 39th St.
When officers arrived, they located four shooting victims. It appears those victims were shot inside the mall. Those victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
One of those victims is in critical condition. It appears that the shooting began when two groups of people encountered each other inside the mall. It is still unclear what initiated the incident.
Three persons of interest have been taken into custody regarding the incident. This remains an ongoing investigation.
