Lamar High School on lockdown after bomb threat
Police ask public to please stay out of the area.
According to officials from Houston ISD, there has been an reported incident at Lamar High School on Thursday morning.
Houston police are currently on site, and the school has initiated lockdown procedures while the situation is being investigated.
The call reporting the incident was received around 8:20 a.m. The school is located on Westheimer Road near Buffalo Speedway.
Below is the statement from HISD:
“Lamar High School is currently in Lockdown Mode. Police are on the scene investigating a reported incident. HISD has notified families. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We will have another update as soon as possible.”
