18-year-old Jose David Jusino Morales charged with murder in the shooting death of Eliud Marrero-Morales in Sunbury

Gunfire erupted overnight in Northumberland County, resulting in one fatality. Swift police action led to the apprehension of two individuals believed to be involved in the shooting.
Officers received a report of the incident at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday night, prompting them to respond to the 400 block of Market Street in Sunbury.
18-year-old Jose David Jusino-Morales, of 1101 Susquehanna Avenue, Sunbury, has been charged with the following in the death of Eliud Marrero-Morales after last night’s shooting in the 400 block of Market Street in Sunbury:
- Criminal Homicide (F1)
- Aggravated Assault (F2)
- Possession of Weapon (M1)
- Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2)
- Simple Assualt (M2)
- Firearms Not To Be Carried Without License (F3)
- Unsworn Falsification To Authorities (M2)
Bail has been denied and Jusino-Morales has been remanded to Northumberland County Jail pending a preliminary hearing on November 14th, 2023 at 9am.
