Police arrest QuikTrip Security officer Maury Adams after deadly shooting in Ferguson

UPDATE: An arrest was made in reference to last nights homicide. Security officer Maury Adams was charged with manslaughter and armed criminal action following the altercation that took place last night.
He is currently being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center on a $50,000 cash-only bond.

At approximately 0100, October 7, 2023 Ferguson Police was called to a shooting that occurred at the Quik Trip located at 10760 W. Florissant. Upon arrival, they discovered a deceased male victim who had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
At this time, no further details can be released as the investigation is ongoing. We urge anyone with information related to the shooting to come forward and assist law enforcement in their efforts.
