Arrest warrant issued for 19-year-old Robert Edmond Davis in the murder of Philadelphia journalist Josh Kruger
Journalist Josh Kruger was shot and killed in his Philadelphia home on Monday after mocking those who raised concerns about surging crime.
Philadelphia Police sources have informed Channel3 NOW that homicide detectives possess an arrest warrant for 19-year-old Robert Edmond Davis in connection with the murder of Philadelphia journalist Josh Kruger.
Kruger, a prominent advocate and journalist, was fatally shot in the chest earlier this week at his South Philadelphia residence.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Philadelphia police identified a person of interest a day and a half later. However, they have not disclosed additional details.
City officials have scheduled a press conference at 12:30 p.m. to give an update. Prior to reentering journalism in 2021, Kruger had spent five years in local government, serving as a City Hall content director, communications director, and spokesperson, as indicated on his website.
His articles had been published in several local publications, including the Philadelphia Inquirer.
