18-year-old Charles Carbon killed after a shooting at QuikTrip in Hazelwood, Missouri

On Saturday, a tragic incident unfolded at a QuikTrip in Hazelwood, Missouri, resulting in the loss of one individual’s life and another sustaining injuries.

At approximately 10:25 p.m., officers from the Hazelwood Police Department received a report of gunshots at the gas station situated at 7400 North Lindbergh Boulevard in Hazelwood.

Upon arrival, officers discovered an 18-year-old man with a gunshot wound inside a vehicle.

They worked diligently to administer aid to the victim until he could be transported to a hospital.

Unfortunately, the victim was later pronounced deceased at the medical facility. On Monday, the police identified the victim as Charles Carbon from the north St. Louis County region.

Through investigation, it was determined that the shooting occurred subsequent to a altercation involving two groups of individuals at the gas station.

Additionally, another person affiliated with the victim sustained injuries during the incident, but they were not life-threatening.

The Hazelwood Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Team is spearheading the inquiry.
