All-clear given at East Central High School after reports of shooting in Bexar County
The district affirms that everyone is out of harm’s way, and no injuries have been reported.
Officials from the district have confirmed that all individuals at East Central High School are secure following an incident reported on Monday morning.
Around 9 a.m., several emergency teams were dispatched to the school located at 7173 FM 1628.
Subsequently, East Central ISD stated that gunshots were reportedly heard, but after a thorough check by ECPD and local law enforcement, no signs of gunshots were discovered on the campus.
The district affirms that everyone is out of harm’s way, and no injuries have been reported.
In the morning hours, Bexar County Sheriff’s Office provided an update on its Facebook page, stating:
“The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is responding to an incident at East Central High School. There will be a heavy law enforcement presence responding to this disturbance. Parents will receive and update from BCSO and the school district shortly. There will be heavy congestion in the area with the responding units. We will update this post as soon as possible as we have more information on the incident.”
