Clarissa Small shot and killed at Time Out bar in Shreveport

An altercation between a woman and a suspect took a dire turn when the suspect shot the woman in her chest.

At 1:07 a.m. on September 2nd, the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) was alerted to a shooting incident at the Time Out bar located on the 9000 block of Mansfield Road.

Upon their arrival, officers encountered a man in the parking area who had suffered a gunshot wound to his right thigh.

Subsequently, upon conducting an additional inquiry inside the bar, they discovered a woman with a gunshot injury to her chest.

The SPD’s investigation revealed that an altercation between the suspect and the female victim had erupted within the bar.

During this confrontation, the suspect produced a handgun and discharged it, striking the woman in her chest. Subsequently, the male victim sustained a gunshot wound to his right thigh.

The suspect then fled the scene.

Both victims were promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where the man is currently receiving treatment for injuries that are not life-threatening.

Tragically, the woman was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
